Alkaline Trio w. Bayside

Alkaline Trio is an American punk rock band from Chicago, Illinois. The band started out in 1997 by
ex-Jerkwater and Traitors drummer Matt Skiba (vocals/guitar), Rob Doran (bass/vocals), and former 88
Fingers Louie percussionist Glenn Porter later replaced by ex-Smoking Popes drummer Mike Felumlee.
The three started making a name for themselves all throughout the Midwest with their emotion-fueled,
angst-ridden, dark punk feel. With sounds reminiscent of My Chemical Romance and All American
Rejects, the trio is doing pretty well for themselves. In the summer of 2007 they released Agony & Irony,
which debuted at number 13. Alkaline Trio then launched their own label, Heart & Skull, which they
used for the release of This Addiction in 2010. The following year the band released their eighth album,
Damnesia, which featured acoustic renditions of some of the bands most beloved songs, as well as a
couple of new tracks. Their new album, My Shame Is True, is being released April 2, 2013.
