Helsinki-based Beast In Black have established themselves as one of Finland’s most successful modern heavy metal exports. Founded in 2015 by guitarist and songwriter Anton Kabanen, the band combines powerful heavy metal riffs and soaring melodies with dance-metal energy and the sound and drama of 1980s pop and electronic music. Their lyrics draw heavily from dark fantasy and science fiction, with a particular passion for the manga Berserk.

The current line-up consists of guitarist and songwriter Anton Kabanen, vocalist Yannis Papadopoulos, guitarist Markus Venehsalo, bassist Máté Molnár and drummer Atte Palokangas.

Beast In Black’s three albums – Berserker (2017), From Hell With Love (2019) and Dark Connection (2021) – have achieved widespread success, with the first two reaching platinum status and Dark Connection gold status, alongside strong chart performances in Finland.

Known for their explosive live shows, Beast In Black have headlined tours across Europe, North and South America and Asian, while appearing at major festivals including Wacken Open Air, Hellfest and Graspop. Their international profile has continued to grow through high-profile touring, most recently with a North American tour alongside Helloween.

Following their 2025 collaboration with Blizzard Entertainment’s Diablo IV and Berserk, Beast In Black are now gearing up for the release of their highly anticipated fourth album. The new album era begins with the release of “Fear The Beast” on September 10, 2026, bringing together the band’s trademark dance beat-driven heavy metal, instantly memorable riffs and melodies, raw vocal power and razor-sharp guitar work.
