Thursday: War All The Time Live

BREAK OUT THE CHAMPAGNE – WAR ALL THE TIME IS TURNING 21 YEARS OLD

THURSDAY ANNOUNCE JAN / FEB 2024 COAST TO COAST TOUR PLAYING ALBUM IN FULL  RIVAL SCHOOLS TO SERVE AS MAIN SUPPORT

MANY EYES (FEATURING KEITH BUCKLEY) TO OPEN ALL SHOWS

Thursday are a band from New Brunswick, New Jersey. Formed in 1998 and with world-wide album sales in  the millions, the band has released six criZcally acclaimed albums. Their September 2003 Island Def Jam  record ‘War All The Time’ is considered one of the pivotal and most influenZal post-hardcore albums of the  aughts. The story of the record and the major label feeding frenzy of the period that saw Thursday, Green  Day, At The Drive In, Blink 182 and My Chemical Romance all gedng signed was documented in Dan Ozzi’s  New York Times best-selling book ‘Sellout’ of which a picture of Thursday graced the front cover.

Rival Schools Rival Schools, a dynamic alternaZve rock band hailing from New York City, emerged onto the  music scene in the early 2000s. Formed by members of influenZal bands like Quicksand, Gorilla Biscuits,  and CIV, Rival Schools culZvated a disZnct sound blending post-hardcore grit with melodic sensibiliZes.

Their music resonates with a raw energy and emoZonal depth, exploring themes of introspecZon,  resilience, and societal dynamics. With a strong fan base and a catalogue of albums that showcase their  evolving musical prowess, Rival Schools has leg an indelible mark on the rock landscape, capturing hearts  with their passionate performances and thought-provoking lyrics.

Many Eyes are the brainchild of Keith Buckley, accomplished author and musician. This tour marks his first  musical output since 2021.

A”er a monumental 2022 that saw Thursday play main support to My Chemical Romance in sold out arenas all the  way from Barclays Center in Brooklyn to The Forum in Los Angeles and embarking on their own 45 date sold out  club and theatre tour (with the mighty Cursive in tow) 2023 was supposed to be a year of rest for post-hardcore  architects Thursday. Rhythm secDon Tucker Rule and Tim Payne released and toured their prolific L.S. Dunes album, Steve Pedulla remained highly sought a”er in the world of music videos and television producDon, whilst  vocalist Geoff Rickly not only toured the USA as a solo arDst and internaDonally as a member of No DevoAon but  also released his debut (best-selling) novel in the interim. Despite all this, 2023 saw the band play select dates as  co-headliner of the So What FesAval as well as marquee appearances at the Adjacent, Furnace and Riot FesAvals as well as headlines appearances with Sparta, Braid, Koyo and Gel in tow.

A”er the immense success of the 20th birthday party for their War All The Time record where they rented a classic Hudson River-Boat and invited 1,200 of their closest friends to join them (it sold out in minutes) in sailing from  Harlem to the historic Palisades Cliffs This maiden voyage was then complemented by a packed to the gills  performance of War All The Time at Starland Ballroom. As they played the album in full, it was apparent they  needed to do more.

The band elaborates: We never intended to do a na,onal tour for War All The Time. We simply wanted to  celebrate at home in New Jersey with friends and family but when we played the boat, it became apparent to us  how much War All The Time means to people both inside and out of the band. People travelled from 21 states  and 12 countries to aAend and we were besieged with requests to bring the album to different ci,es. We  casually asked our booking agent to ‘gauge interest’ and four days later, he came back with a 25 date tour!

Renowned for having their fingers on the pulse of creaDvity, Thursday has a long history of touring with ground  breaking acts in tow. Coheed and Cambria, Thrice, Poison The Well, AFI, Portugal The Man, Murder By Death,  Touche Amore, Bring Me The Horizon, Circa Survive and The Gaslight Anthem have all been invited to share stages  with them in the past, so it was of utmost importance to invite only the finest of friends and the best of bands to  accompany them on the 21st Birthday Tour for War All The Time

From the band: War All The Time was our major label debut and the first ,me we were able to aAempt  something a liAle more grandiose than normal. We did things we had never done before, such as playing on  Conan, never-mind having a top 10 record on the Billboard Charts! We approached this tour with that ‘sense of  occasion’ mindset – imagine the best tour line up of all of 2024 going out in January! We dared to dream big and  thankfully our friends in Rival Schools and Many Eyes agreed to come along for the ride. The last ,me we toured  with Rival Schools was in 2001 and it will have been 12 years since we last toured with Keith Buckley, when we  spent a hot summer on The Vans Warped Tour 2012 together!

With decades of friendship and a millennium of songs intertwined, this bill is going to be a force to be reckoned  with. It’s not just a birthday party for a specific album, it’s also a celebraDon of the past, present and what is to  come.
