The Revolution

The Revolution formed in 1979 when Prince joined drummer, Bobby Z and keyboardist Matt Fink. Over the next four years, several formations would emerge until finally Prince found the band he felt could master the challenging musicality of his vision. The legendary final line-up included Lisa Coleman on keyboards/piano, Wendy Melvoin on guitar and Brown Mark on bass. The Revolution was credited on three Prince studio-albums, Purple Rain, Around the World In a Day and Parade while some members also played on 1999, Controversy, Dirty Mind, Around The World in A Day and Sign O The Times. Together, they earned multiple #1 hits, as well as two Grammy® Awards and an Oscar, with the song “Purple Rain,” for Best Original Song Score in 1985.

DVSN – Morning After World Tour

Dvsn is an alternative R&B act that consists of producer Paul Jefferies (aka Nineteen85) and vocalist Daniel Daley. Similar in approach to early Weeknd, PartyNextDoor, and Majid Jordan, they specialize in narcotic slow jams featuring sexually frank lyrics, often in falsetto. Like some of the other Toronto-based artists in Drake’s orbit, dvsn weren’t all that forthcoming about their identities, but the names of Jefferies and Daley were the common factors in the songwriting credits of each dvsn song throughout the debut album. Released by Drake’s Warner-supported OVO Sound as a digital download in April 2016, it peaked at number 17 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. A handful of singles beginning with the May 2017 release of “Think About Me” led to second album Morning After.

Tom Petty Tribute w/ The Petty Hearts

The Petty Hearts are America’s definitive Tom Petty Tribute Show. Just like the original Tom and the Heartbreakers themselves, this band is also based out of Florida and is comprised of seasoned musicians who perfectly capture the rich guitar sounds and lush harmonies that have made Tom Petty a Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Songwriter Hall of Famer, and top of the charts music maker for more than forty years. Their upbeat stage show has crowds energized from the first number, dancing and singing along to hit after timeless hit.

Reverend Horton Heat – Horton’s Holiday Hayride w/ Junior Brown, The Blasters & Big Sandy

The Reverend Horton Heat is perhaps the most popular psychobilly artist of all time. The Reverend (as both the three-man band and its guitar-playing frontman were known) built a strong cult following through constant touring, manic showmanship, and a twisted sense of humor. The latter was nothing new in the world of psychobilly, of course, and Heat’s music certainly kept the trashy aesthetic of his spiritual forebears. The Reverend’s true innovation was updating the psychobilly sound for the alternative rock era. In his hands, it was something more than retro-obsessed kitsch — it had roaring distorted guitars, it rocked as hard as any punk band, and it didn’t look exclusively to pop culture of the past for its style or subject matter. Most of The Reverend’s lyrics were gonzo celebrations of sex, drugs, booze, and cars, and true to his name, his concerts often featured mock sermons in the style of a rural revivalist preacher.

Kamelot

Kamelot, Delain, ft. Lauderdale

with Delain & Battle Beast

Doors: 7:30PM

Kamelot’s release of their debut Eternity was praised by the music media as one of most promising debuts of all time. They went on to create many other albums all with striking results. Kamelot’s video “The Haunting” and “March of Mephisto” became huge hits on YouTube and prompted the band to launch their own YouTube channel, aptly titled KamTV. KamTV’s initial launch hurled the band into YouTube’s top 10 music channels and #1 Metal Channel, transcending all genres. Subsequently, Kamelot presented themselves more sinister and soulful on Ghost Opera and Poetry For The Poisoned, but have now returned to the melodic aspects of their multi-layered sound with the album, Silverthorn. The album, went directly to the top, debuting at the #1 position on Amazon’s Heavy Metal Chart! Along with this amazing accomplishment, Kamelot also impacted major charts in other categories including the #9 position on Billboard’s Hard Rock Chart, #24 on the Rock Charts, #79 on Billboard’s Top 200 Chart, as well as appearing on multiple international charts.

The Marcus Kind Band with special guest Bobby Lee Rdogers

Marcus King Band

Songwriter. Guitarist. Singer. Bandleader. At only 20 years of age, Marcus King’s dazzling musical

ability is evident throughout The Marcus King Band. Operating within the fiery brand of American

roots music that King calls "soul-influenced psychedelic southern rock," it highlights King’s gorgeous,

rough-hewn vocals, soaring guitar work and heartfelt songwriting all amidst a group of masterful

musicians who, together, are quickly becoming one of the country’s most sought after live acts. Raised in

Greenville, South Carolina, King was brought up on the blues, playing shows as a pre-teen sideman with

his father. Going beyond the sonic textures of his acclaimed 2015 debut; The Marcus King Band

broadens his sound, touching upon everything from funky R&B to Southern soul and Americana in the

process. His band gets in on the action too, stacking the songs with blasts of swampy brass, a lock-step

rhythm section and swirling organ. Ever the multi-tasker, King bounces between several instruments,

handling electric and acoustic guitar — as well as pedal and lap steel — while driving each track home

with his soulful, incendiary voice.

The Magpie Salute

The Magpie Salute is an exciting new band that features musicians who have played together for decades throughout various projects and share a musical bond. The band brings Rich Robinson, the guitarist and co-founding member of The Black Crowes, together with two key members of Crowes fame – guitarist Marc Ford and bassist Sven Pipien – alongside drummer Joe Magistro and guitarist Nico Bereciartua. The Magpie Salute marks the reunion of the Robinson and Ford guitar team which ended back in 1997 when Ford left The Black Crowes. The band also boasts a fine cast of vocalists, including lead singer John Hogg (Hookah Brown, Moke), former Crowes singer Charity White and background singers, Adrien Reju and Katrine Ottosen. The term “Magpie Salute” references a British superstition about the imperative to salute a Magpie anytime you see one in order to ward off negativity, or to have a good day. Clearly, The Magpie Salute intends to mix it up, breathing new life into musical bonds, rooted in tradition and the universal language of Rock and Roll.

Frontman John Popper states, “Three decades… three decades and I am still surprised when we play and find some rich new musical vein to tap. Three decades and I cannot believe my luck with this band of brothers and this string we have run! Thirty years since a bunch of loud boys embarked on an adventure that took them around the world and made them a family that has not ceased growing to this day. Thirty years later and I am still so very grateful.”

Guitarist Chan Kinchla adds, “The longer I do it the more I like it! I remember laying on my bed at 13 years old in Princeton, New Jersey. Spinning my precious LPs, dropping the needle back across a part over and over trying vainly to scry some part of a Bowie record or a Clash record or a Pretenders record, maybe gazing at the back of the album jacket as side A played again and again. All I dreamed of was playing in a cool band with great musicians, in front of a bad ass crowd, creating a floating, bubbling, hissing group. Think rock show in the shiny lights. The fact that I’ve been able to be a part of exactly that for 30 years leaves me humbled and thankful and wanting more….much more!”

Blues Traveler — John Popper (lead vocals, harmonica), Chan Kinchla (guitar), Tad Kinchla (bass), Brendan Hill (drums), and Ben Wilson (keyboard) — have a proven reputation for their improvisational live shows and tireless touring. With a total of twelve studio albums — four gold, three platinum and one six-times platinum — they have sold more than 10 million combined units worldwide, and played over 2,000 live shows in front of more than 30 million people. Their hit “Run-Around” is the longest-charting radio single in Billboard history, and earned them a Grammy® for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals in 1996. The group also founded H.O.R.D.E. Festival, a touring progressive rock music festival and creative nest, hosting everyone from Beck and Neil Young to Ben Harper and Squirrel Nut Zippers.

Continuing the tradition of sitting in with other bands, Blues Traveler’s John Popper has sat in with countless artists all over the world, including Foo Fighters, Grateful Dead, Allman Brothers, Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews Band, Keith Urban, and even alternative acts like Passion Pit. With an open mind, it’s no surprise that on the group’s latest release, Blow Up The Moon, they took this a step further to enlist a range of artists across the musical spectrum, representing country, pop, reggae and hip-hop, on their first-ever collaborative album.

As they enter the fourth decade of their career, Blues Traveler will begin recording their a brand new album this May, expected for release in early 2018.
